that would have been a a total game changer for me if we were still pointing there as I think Bayern is a total freak at middle distances

maybe Terranova got some sense of that (he and Baffert are very close) and just didn't want to say anything about that because Bob asked him not to (no idea but that would make sense as to why Johnny really wants to run in NY)

it would make sense if Baffert went in that direction as the horse would be even money for a million bucks if he runs in the dirt mile vs. maybe 7 or 8 to 1 in the classic at a distance that I don't think he really wants against good horses

it's one thing if he gets everything his own way going 1 1/8 buth the projected race shape of the classic, he will be gasping for air at the 1/8th pole
