It is not surprising that Mike Smith aboard [b]Far Right[/b] won the Smarty Jones today @ Oaklawn. How he did it, sure surprised me. We love to point out Mr. Smith's routine wide trips. Not today, he did a an Oscar deserving portrayal of a certain OP regular often called Borail!

I knew the results (#1 wins) before I watched the replay. So I was puzzled when late on the second turn I could not see the #1 horse? Then in a flash skimming the rail he was in the lead paused and then pulled away impressively.

Mr. Z bore out badly and probably needs a rest he won't get. Hebronville didn't fire and the timing doesn't look fast at first glance. But, I think this one will still be running at the finish of the KD if all else goes his way.
