are supposed to be looking to buy a ticket to the Belmont sometime today and
"pinhook" it for four times the purchase price after the Preakness...

Pimlico Friday observations: (was in a nearly empty Belmont backyard, not in
Baltimore):

Miss Preakness Stakes: Jimmy Jerkens' Spark broke from the outside, was 4 wide
down the backside, 6 wide the turn. The winner, Irish Jasper, was purchased for
$12,000 as a yearling by owner/trainer Derek Ryan; she is now 5/8 lifetime, a
graded stakes winner, and picked up a breeding right to Ghostzapper in addition
to the 90K winner's share. Well Done!

Jim McKay stake: Bold Thunder was in control at the eighth pole, shied from the
ghost of Kegasus in the Infield, letting Ben's Cat pounce and prevail. Good for
the King, bad for your correspondent.

Belmont.
