Some observations just to put out there about Saturday.
Personal Ensign;
Sheer Drama was indeed the best bet of the day, TGAB said in the seminar(I was not there) she laid over this group on TG figures/patterns. Maria was 1/9 to bounce, Untapable was a huge question mark. I had a large pick 3 play with Drama and made a pretty good exacta with Untapable. I reached into my pocket and picked up the phone like a junkie to make an extreme win bet. I didn't, I don't as a rule ever go under 4/1 in the win slot and that horse needs to be exceptional for me to pull that trigger. Retrospect!
Ballerina:
If you told me pre race that a 2 could win, I'da betcha! Merry Meadow and Room For Me were my big pick 3 plays.
Kings Bishop:
God Bless the connections who ran a 5 point new top to take the heat.
Forego:
Private Zone was a gimme, All that water! I was sure I had something.
This was far and away my biggest bet of the meet:
Private Zone ONLY on top/ Wildcat Red & Falling Sky at outrageous odds underneath in exactas, tri's and supers were 7/4,12/All 7/All/4,12, a large ticket of
7/4,5,6,10,12/4,5,6,10,12. Went back and pressed the Wildcat Red ex a bit more and in tri's as well. I was certain we would have a conveyer belt around the turn of 1,2,3, speed, speed, speed. I was with Alan upstairs before the race who sang the praises of the 9 Viva Majorca, he ruined me and in TGAB fashion he didn't pull the trigger at 32/1 with the 2 figure horses in the tri, only betting exactas!
Sword Dancer:
How about Twilight Eclipse getting back to his top as a 6yr old and running 3rd!
How about AWFUL performances by both Imagining and Messi?
