Things are a little slow and it is late. I've been to Youngstown and if you haven't, it has a colorful hierarchical Italian community. I happened to notice the tote after that race and said to my wife a 99/1 horse won at a small track in Ohio no telling what the odds really are?

The next day I tell her the story and she looks at me blankly and asks they can't tell the difference in the sex of a horse? I don't know what happened but knowing the area it could just as well have been one gambler/farmer/ bookie betting another that he could win a f&m race with a colt.

In contrast I visited the Hong Kong & Japan races last night. They do so many things right. One of my favorites Gold Actor won his third race in three tries this year. A one million dollar stakes how many yen is that? That is his fifth win in his last six races. All at 1[sup]1/4[/sup] or longer. His loss was in the $2m St. Leger where he went off @ 18/1 and finished 3rd.

I figured he has beaten more horses in the last two years than any other, so I foolishly counted it up while watch a barrage of commercials on a recorded version of UFC fight Night. Note the ref stopped a bout, just before one guy broke the others neck and the loser complained he wasn't out/dead yet?

Below are some edited pp's and by my calculations including tonight when he beat 17 the total is 134 contenders finished behind him. What is the story with performance figures, are they using the old fashion clock ones, because the bettors sure do a good job of identifying the contenders. Lastly, Moreira is a magician!
