No real argument with the educational slant, yet, the question of did EXAGGERATOR handle the surface is germane and certainly worth some discussion.
Many horses do not appreciate certain tracks. Clearly travel, unfamiliar or unacceptable accommodations have affected all of us, race horses much more so.
Evidence of EXAGGERATOR not liking the surface is open to each individual 'cappers interpretation. Yet,data readily available, was the workout prior to the race. One poster, on another thread, foolishly, used "trainer speak" as evidence that "EX" handled it well.
Anyone who took the time to watch the work, saw a well held animal blowing the turn. In the race, "EX" is in reasonable position, takes two solid left handed cracks, yet, ducks in badly.
An odd race, as the Belmont often is. Interest now, for me, is if/how much Winstar cuts back, if they do, on "factory man". bbb
