About 20 years ago 2 friends and I were compiling and selling trainer statistics in NY. We were interviewed by a certain well known horseracing columnist in NY and the topic of Wayne Lukas came up. Wayne was having a terrible winter meet (no shock) and we told the writer that Wayne's horses were being very overbet based on his reputation. When the article appeared the next day we were quoted as calling Wayne Lukas
"a cancer". They do take a little liberty don't they. :-)
