JB, I was asking for a cheat sheet that recapped what the info making up the Pattern Studies represented but,ok, I read your explanation again(and again) and now think I understand what is being presented.
I'm not sure if you can do this but one piece of info that may be useful is the average times between races for each of the non-horse specific stats (within the maximum spacing of 42 days) versus the horse specific average. For instance, it may be useful to know that the average time between races for the top and pair stat after a top, pair, pair, is (say) 28 days and 25 days respectively while the off and X stat is (say)16 and 14 days versus the specific horse's average coming into today's race of (say) 15 days.
As you might suspect ,evaluating race spacing is one of my most difficult handicapping problems.
