Depending on where you are staying,
For the 'Saratoga' experience, try Compton's for breakfast or take in the trackside offering. Track opens at around 7am and the food isn't bad. You can even watch the workouts from the Governor's box while you sort through your TG sheets.
You can park your car on the side streets or someone's lawn. $3 to $10 depending upon how close you need to be.
Meander over to Siro's for a seminar or take in the Museum. Great exhibits and right across the street from the track.
After the races, passionate fans are back at Siro's accompanied by their shoulda woulda coulda's.
At the bottom of Caroline Street, there is a fine restaurant Sperry's. If you have access to a car and are a red meat maniac...try the Cliff House....9w South to the Red Tomato ...make a left and it is on the left before you drive into Saratoga Lake. Sports Bar theme, they don't raise their prices in season and the portions are generous. No reservations so you wait at the bar. Chaz is usually at the bar. Mention you know Bob from Pennsylvania who been coming since Java Gold won the Travers and he'll know.
Have a great time. It's horseracing heaven.
Bob
