I was really hoping the fools would run him, it would ensure a hot pace up front and set it up for the closers. As mentioned previously, there is good speed this year (according to BRIS ratings), but no Balto Stars, Songandaprayers, or High Yields.

I would MUCH rather see the closers in the aux gate. RQ got lucky with a good trip, not saying it's impossible, but your odds for a rough trip are greatly magnified on the inside posts. And a rough trip and make you throw a bad number no matter how keyed up or good the horse is.
