Wasn't the greatest field in the world, and I'm getting older so my memory may be starting to slip, but I literally cannot remember seeing a graded prep race won by a horse that broke 6+ lengths slow and went 6w nearly the whole way around the field.


On the first turn I would have given that horse <1% chance of winning. That felt remarkable to me.
