As someone who has come across as a Frank (Stronach) hater, I will do what I always do, "Tell it like it is". His latest idea Sunshine Millions is a quality day of racing with a slight Breeders Cup feel.

The event is held not at one top notch venue but two. There is considerable money being given out and because there are so many good Florida and Calif bred horses its not like its being given away to bums. The horsemen seen to have embraced it, then again put up big money and they will get there, and its also giving back to the respective breeders in those states.

With national television coverage, marching bands, girls in bikinis, its a "Really Big Show", to steal a line from Ed Sullivan. If he can get the attention of the national press, people who are suffering from withdrawls from not being able to bet on football and being unwilling to put the bankroll on whether some rat kid makes his freethrows, this could catch on.

When Frank first came around I said give him a chance he has new ideas, when he failed to deliver you read what I've posted here before. The Sunshine Millions is a good idea and I applaude him.
