beyer,
it's tough to judge the two performances, i don't know how the track surfaces compare, but i think FD just ran about five lengths laster than medallist did a few weeks ago going 6.5f (time wise). i think medallist was wound up pretty good too, he bore out badly at the end (he didn't want much more). JR just had a tight strangle on FD for the last few furlongs. no telling how fast the horse could have run. i would imagine the two will meet soon enough.
