Ctc:

Never discount "the bug" on the inner tube. I've watched Hill closely and seen improvement. I've also seen him using a left handed whip, which no one seems to have seen our current leading rider use with any regularity.

Thinking of "the bug" and winter racing, I thought of Glen Lane, one of the leading owners in the Northeast in the 80s. I was told his formula for success was claiming and buying off the sheets (TG or the other
guys, I don't know), using the bug to get the weight off, and telling the trainer to tell the bug to save all the ground. Figures, weight off, saving ground -- this man was a true believer.

I've been there though, Ctc, last Spring I told a friend that Raj Maragh couldn't ride a bicycle with 2 sets of training wheels, and he seems to be holding his own at the Gulf.
