Channing Hill couldn't find the shortest path back from the forest even if the Crows hadn't eaten all of Hanzel and Gretels bread crumbs.
The post that I made here titled "WIDE" was about Channing Hill. Essentially he got beat on a high odds horse that without an extra 5 length path would have won by 2.
Hills big winner Saturday got 7 pounds from the field. (All others carried 120) and Channing took the "Nebraska Back 40" route and someone still managed to get home that day in time.
He had the major bug and won just over 10%. Now its down to 5 lbs. Before its gone, I"m anticipating his percentage to drop. And when the bug is gone, he'll be gone too. Its a nice human interest story, but that doesnt cash races. They wrote volumes about Prather too. The difference was she was winning the Turfway meets.

I'll still bet him in the right circumstances, but even light he's losing on out in front screaming monkey rides. Sometimes the Red States win, but in the end its about being right in the long haul.
