Re: DeClan's Moon:
"I've said I think he has a chance to be listed in history as one of the best, so it goes through your mind - what if he never loses? I feel an awful lot of pressure trying to win with him. I'd love to keep him undefeated. One thing you do is size up the competition and decide how hard to train him. I don't anticipate this being his toughest test, so I haven't trained him for such a race. But I need to make sure he's fit enough so he won't bounce. It's a fine line. There's a bunch of different things to consider. There's a lot more things to think about when it's the undefeated champ. It enters your mind, his being undefeated."

Well, I've not seen the dominance. He was life and death to beat FuRule and had it all his own way in the Hollywood Futurity with cheap speed. Ellis is a good trainer. He's shipping in hot to Santa Anita and winning, but if he doesn't have this horse cranked for this, either he's been hiding something or he's making a huge mistake.
That was awful grand trainer talk. I think I'll do what I normally do, ignore it.
