The track condition at Turfway was as bad as it gets so why did I ignore an angle that has worked countless times for me in the past? All of these horses showed SOME ability or reasonable breeding for the off-going. None could be tossed on that factor alone. However, only 1 represented sire (distorted humor) showed the highest win percent of all categories to be off-tracks. Note 19% overall, 23% off tracks (higher than any other categories). And while several others showed they could handle the off-going (same % overall as off-going), the dead giveaway that separated DH off-spring from the rest is that 10 of 52 stakes victories came over the slop! This figure towered above all others. DH's not only handle the slop, they move up about as much as a horse can move up. Dang-it!
