Bettor fires back (587 Views)

I would like to call attention to the article on Bloodhorse.com this morning entitled "Bettor Files Suit Against Sweet Catomine's Connections".

This details a disgruntled bettor suing for damages caused by betting Sweet Catomine, specifically not knowing the information withheld by the owner/trainer etc.

If this guy gets a cent in court I am going to be surprised, and a little upset. I didn't get my money back from the race where Cerin's horse, Smuggler's Run (who won), was caught with illegal levels of bicarbonate and I did not know. I had been betting SoCal very lightly, but that race Feb 5 was the last straw. The boycott began as soon as the drug positive came back.

Back to this lawsuit, why is it so noble to crusade against Wygod and Canani for withholding information, yet we get painted as sore losers when we complain about juice?
Apparently there are more bettors that are going to be involved in the suit, but I do not know the specific dollar amount they are looking for.

Jerry, do these guys have a shot? If so, why didn't we think of this? Ok seriously though, if I could get money back everytime I bet a race where I did not know all of the wrongdoings, this game would be a whole lot easier.
