Next week you'll see a lot of lists of Derby winners. Tell anyone who cares to know, Forward Pass DID NOT win the 68 Derby. It was awarded to him.

Dancer's Image won the race fair & square on the track and nothing can change that.

I bet Dancers Image & I got paid (he was 7-2 or 9-2). If you bet Forward Pass you lost. Some say it was a political decision as Peter Fuller was a Boston liberal and 68 was the height of the sixties nonsense.

It also means that Bobby Ussery won two Derbies in a row. He rode Proud Clarion in 67.
