I've never understood why my posts on the impact of pace on race results and final time should be so annoying. Not all races are impacted to this extent. In fact, most aren't. However, not including pace in the discussion is almost like boxing fans not discussing punching power. Sometimes it doesn't matter. Sometimes it matters a bit. Sometimes it's practically the only thing that matters. Why not discuss it?
