Speed Pedigree without Juice/Ghostsprinter (580 Views)

Just sitting here, letting my mind wander. Still in shock and disbelief. Financial ruin...lol

The effect of juice seems to be to carry the horses further and faster than they would otherwise go. The suspected juice animals for the most part are two turn quickies like Badge of Silver that you would expect to peter out at 7 to 8 marks but which in recent years have just kept going and going and energizer bunny going. You don't see a juice closer very often. They are almost universally new model speed on speed pedigree types. Maybe with the exception of Aptitude, who I suspect was one of the first new era juice horses.

What happens to a precocious speed type when his juice is removed? That may be the question we are facing. Maybe without juice 2:01 Derbies become 2:03 Derbies won by stamina types.

I know, I know, "How does Closing Argument fit that bill?...lol

Ghostsprinter predictions anyone?
