Noble Causeway / Peter Pan Pre Belmont? (1268 Views)

"We had the horse scoped after the Preakness and it revealed that he had entrapped. There was no way he could breathe normally, and Gary said right after the race something was wrong. The myectomy is a simple procedure, and we shouldn't lose much time with him. We've had had to give a lot of explanations so far in the Triple Crown, what with Bellamy Road's popped splint and Noble Causeway's problems. And High Fly burned his heels a little in the Preakness."

According to the New York Racing Association, those two may be joined by any number of new contenders, with the top finishers from Belmont's May 28, $200,000 Peter Pan Stakes (gr. II) at nine furlongs likely to return in the Belmont Stakes. Chekhov, Golden Man, Mr Sword, Oratory, Reverberate, Robador, Saint Anddan and Survivalist, and possibly Better than Bonds and Confederation are expected to run in the Peter Pan.

Survivalist? These look to be hopefuls, so maybe, just maybe, he can hang in on a one turn 9 marks..... Nahhhhhhhh
