Sun King is doing his best to tell his connections he wants a break and wants to cut back on distance. But he's run well at Belmont in the past and if Giacomo can win a Derby and Commendable can win a Belmont why shouldn't Nicky send Sun King? He was only beaten a length by the Derby winner in the Preakness! The only reason he passed High Limit though was because the Frankel steed was wasted from the pace. High Limit ran a much better race than Sun King and is a better horse.

Alex has run well at Belmont and so has Galloping Grocer. Though the latter is in need of freshening even worse than Sun King.
