Again, the contest rules should be the same ones they have at the track. Why should someone be forced to bet any amount on a race he or she would not bet otherwise? And if someone is crazy enough to bet it all on 1 horse to show or on one super, which neither of these gentlemen is likely to do, then so be it. By requiring that certain races or certain amounts be bet, you're eliminating one of the most, if not the most, important aspect of handicapping, namely selecting which races to bet and deciding whether or not such races are "prime" betting opportunities. I would even go so far as allowing no bets, a strategy which would win against more than 80 percent of those who enter more traditional handicapping contests.
