Really unbelievable how stupid some of these people are.

>Few fans at Churchill Downs yesterday were familiar with the medication debate. John Metcalf of Louisville supports one policy for all states but said horsemen should determine which drugs are included.

>"The average bettors -- I don't think it matters to them," Metcalf said.

So let the Drug Dealers decide which drugs are legal and which ones are illegal. No corruption there. How about the big bettors, I bet it matters to them but then again they don't count. The bird watcher groups that have a twice a meet luncheon at the track is who the industry caters to, right?

And thers is more.

>One lawmaker who wants answers is House Speaker Pro Tem Larry Clark, D-Louisville.

>Clark said that he's heard from concerned members of the racing industry but declined to identify them.

>They just don't think that there's been a consensus-building process," Clark said. "They don't think they (regulators) have been open enough. They don't think they've been transparent enough, and they think they made decisions without hearing from people from Kentucky -- what they think is best for Kentucky."

>Clark, a member of the licensing and occupations committee, did not attend any of the winter meetings of the Equine Drug Research Council or racing authority, but he disputed that the meetings allowed all sides to be heard.

Like I said before the Daddy's Boys and Boss Hoggs of the world will be coming out of the woodwork for this one and by the time they are finished someone will be proposing Legislation where they, "Ask the Horse What he Thinks."
