I think my original post clarified this but there still seems to be some confusion.

'Beaten' lengths is meaningless in the figure. The figure doesn't even reference bl. It's a measure of adjusted time.

If the cameras are accurately measuring the 'time' elapsed for each finisher, as they should be, then all you need to know is the conversion rate they use to estimate lengths.

You then have the ACTUAL time from gate to wire.

If the Photo guys are not capturing the actual time , then what are they measuring?
