I suspect mine will not be a popular view, but I don't see how the Choose Six is a good thing for racing at this time, for the following reasons:

It will not increase handle, only cannibalize money that is now going into other pools.

Cantor is getting a cut of the handle. The last thing racing needs now is additional people feeding at the takeout trough.

The wager raises new pool security issues when the existing ones have yet to be solved. I can foresee problems arising out of the multiple closing times and differences in access to information about how much live money remains on each horse after a race or two has been run.
