IMO, today's late Pick 4 is a better wagering proposition than tomorrow's all stake P4 which includes 3 heavy favorites.
There is also a Pick 6 on the last 6 races Saturday. Maybe I will just watch the races today and hope for Chaos/Carryover into Saturday. Saturday's 7th and 12th races, as well as the Travers, all seem to be wide open scrambles. Pick 6 may be the best way to handle a day where there are 3 big odds on favorites and some short fields. All of these odds on sorts are helped by short fields, which decrease the chance of bad trips/jockey indiscretions
Observations about Frankel's Leroids (rhymes with -- ah, I wont go there)-- this colt has been training at Sara all summer, showing nice breezes. He will be sharp off the layoff, and "Hotstuff", a Monmouth horse for course, does not IMO show enough early speed to be anywhere close to Leroids early. Note that Leroids is not one dimensional, has won off the pace also. They love to bet riders in NY, and with JK Court in the saddle maybe Ste.., oops I mean Leroids is 6/5 instead of 3/5.
Big problem on the home front. I killed an ant at my computer table last night. This morning about a thousand ants showed up for the funeral.
