silver, have you noticed Claiborne Farms line up lately? It certainly isn't what it was.
They've lost
Danzig
Mr Prospector
Devil's Bag
Unbridled
Just to name the ones that come to mind. Devil's Bag might not have been an absolute killer but he was a source, much like Saint Ballado. (Brothers Actually)
You gotta be crazy to pay these huge stud fees for Storm Cat and Giant's Causway and the like though. 35K is plenty for a stud fee to a top notch stallion. But its like Baseball salaries, the market is what the market is. Still, a good horse can and usually does come from anywhere. If I decided I wanted more speculation than my wagering, I'd never pay more than 35k for a cover. That said, that Distorted Humor is a very very hot commodity. I think he's the next great stallion. He's tapped the good Mr. Prospector blood and the good Danzig blood with some top flight stamina blood on each branch of the genetic path. Now, hes gonna get the best mares. Hold onto your hat.
Not sure how Tgraphs deal with Winstar went sour. Money most likely, but they cooperated for two very big success stories.
