Copied from another list:
Some may be interested to hear Len Friedman's take on certain horses. Here
are his opinions on some of the horses discussed here:
Juvy Fillies:
Along the Sea -- likes as a longshot key
Sensation -- doesn't like her
Juvenile:
Loves Stevie Wonderboy
F&M Turf:
Film Maker -- put him in the "she reacts" camp
Sundrop -- a use
Riskaverse -- he likes better than Film Maker
Wend -- thinks she goes back
Flip Flop -- would throw in if he was betting the race
Wonder Again -- no bargain
Intercontinental -- double top fried her
Mona Lisa -- a use
Sprint:
Attila's Storm -- his key
Lost in Fog -- 30-40% chance he bounces to a 2. Will save heavily with him
Gygistar -- likes him, a use, but will lose ground
Mile:
Artie -- overlay if above 6-1
Whipper -- could be key
Funfair -- nice pattern, could improve
Majors Cast -- a use, not a key, double top negative
Singletary -- just another horse to use in exotics
Valixir -- strong
Leroi -- borderline use at all. Could bounce to moon
Distaff:
Ashado -- thinks she'll run a 5
Yolanda -- could move forward
In the Gold -- outside chance to run her 3, def. value at 20-1
Turf:
Shirocco -- def. use
Bago -- low value
Better Talk Now -- nothing negative. 8-1 is good
Azamour -- most likely winner
Ace -- last was excusable. Use.
Shakespeare -- play him out of the money
Silverfoot -- no
Fourty Niners Son -- could run a 2-3. Use.
Gun Salute -- use lightly in exotics
Classic:
Perfect Drift -- probably runs 1-3. Possible key.
Sir Shackleton -- can run the 1" -- possible key.
Borrego -- play against
A Bit O'Gold -- use
Saint Liam -- won't play against, will use as major saver. Still prefers to
key on a longshot.
Starcraft -- most Aussies run on turf only. A stretch to get in the money.
