Questions on Polytrack Figuremaking (597 Views)

TGJB -

I'm curious about a couple of things regarding how you're handling Polytrack. First, assuming [perhaps incorrectly, especially with respect to (b)] that (a) you are using the horses' past figs to guide your variant-making for a race, (b) dirt figs tend to be faster than turf figs, and (c) horses from both surfaces often wind up in the same race on Polytrack: are you faced with an issue about whether to put the dirt or the turf horses in their customary range, or does it tend to work out reasonably well?

Second, since dirt track speed is significantly affected by water content and compaction, and both are supposed to be reduced by the Polytrack, do you notice less fluctuation in variants over the course of a day (or several days)?

Thanks as always.
