Have a minute to report in from The Orleans and thank TG, and especially Bill Spillane, for the help and generosity during the HWS here. While I'd be surprised if many of 'our' tribe did super well due to the unending parade of chalk TH-FR-SAT, it certainly wasn't for lack of support on your end. Bill was tireless in his efforts, and I hope he gets some rest during the intermezzo between this weekend and the NHC this coming weekend.

As for Katie's Karate, Saturday at LaD, the page was like getting a gift from G-d. She jumped out of the book at me, and I encourage everyone to look at it. The reward was a 37-1 score, albeit after a 15 minute inquiry that deservedly gave her the win.

After two frustrating days, I was getting desperate for a big scoring play... When some contestants asked me if my getting her moved up would make a difference for me in the Tourney, my answer was "Yeah.. I move from totally humiliated to slightly embarassed." I ended up splitting the field of 750...

QAll in all a fun experience in my first contest try and first visit to Vegas in 20+ years. (I think I saw Jimmy Durante last time I was here..)
