Every horse player knows you can handicap until your eyes fall out of your head,it still dosen't mean your gonna get to cash out ,there are too many other influences at work (racing luck, trip, stable intent ).So these handicapping tools we use are just guides to navigate us to post time ,it all comes down to instinct .I didn't need Jerry or Len to tell me to search for value ,its what i've done since I was cuttin' school to go to Aqueduct.Look for the best chance to win at the best price (I spent a whole winter cursing Stevie "Wonder" Cauthen because of lack of value) there are a ton of sharpies lined up for a slice of the same pie ,it's a tough game .So to take anyone thing as law is a discipline I know nothing about. It just seems to me that when I use TG ,I can see some rhyme and reason for where I failed as a handicapper ,where as with "THE SHEETS" I don't always see it.I also appreciate that JB shows the RBR to go over cards gone by,I get a chance to look at tracks I might not otherwise bother with .Everybody wins sometimes and everybody takes it on the chin sometimes ,I tip my hat to both Len and Jerry ,for their insight to this difficult game.
