Can anyone tell me why Solis refuses to let Brother Derek gallop out after his races? He did it again yesterday. OK, he was celebrating before the finish (reminds me of last year's Wood with that Zito monster, Bellamy), but, then, did anyone see the gallop out? He shuts him right down, AP and the Baffert horse galloped out past him before the turn? Is this by choice? Is the horse really a mile to mile and an eigth horse and he's done? Was he saving energy for the Derby? No one can doubt how good Brother Derek looked, smooth, relaxed, efficient and, quite frankly, in a different Universe than his rivals, no question, but why not let him gallop out another 1/8? Am I just stupid or am I missing something???
