Not trying to steal your horse mark, hell i already have the winner. but its a coin flip.
I dont see that many competitive 30-1's in there. This is prepost of course but i'll run them down for you.
Brother Derek - The bad vibe horse. Working slow....getting worked up....being sedated. Having it all his own way til now. May not hit any paying spot.....Chance for last.
Lawyer Ron, One of my early favorites. Have decided he's far too headstrong and haven't seen the indication of that something special to excuse the headstrong.
Barbaro - High action turf miler. work pattern contributing to already negative impression of him for pace scenario
Bob and John, maturing at the right time, must use in all bets. Can he win? Yes he could win.
Private Vow, could go close to 30-1 per my estimation, completely mismanaged miler. Has tried to indicate he wants no part of real ground, but his connections are not listening. Wrong pace style to boot.
A.P. Warrior - This one could also go 30-1 too, they think he will rate more kindly this time and make his run later. Maybe. I just don't think Shireffs is a wizard. Track placement hot him that Derby last year. I think he's slow and distance challenged.
Sharp Humor, Too slow to rock and roll, too young to die. But death awaits him.
Bluegrass Cat - Hey he was a great 2nd rate 2YO. That'll land him a stallion gig as the 2.045 Storm Cat to go to stud. Don't feel sorry for him.
Steppenwolfer - Another with a late runners chance. He does have a shot at about 30-1
Keyed Entry - I suckered Pletcher in on this one but now his presence isn't even necessary. Working rank, this horse cannot rate and cannot run with the heat he's about to see, Gothcha Todd, you substance abuser.
Point Determined. Have heard that Baffert has said hes high on him. Do believe he's got a money chance. But he is a horse from the weak Kalifornia division with only a Optional Claimer on his resume. I'll congratulate Baffert if he pulls it off with this one, but I'm highly skeptical
Cause to Believe, certainly will be in the 30-1 range. Has some discreet breeding, but despite stables lamentations tend to think the illinois derby was the best this horse could do.
Deputy Glitters - could be well over 30-1. Dont' like his pace pressing style for this race. Won't be in touch and beating Bluegrass Cat is not his top concern.
Storm Treasure - could be 30-1 plus too. closed final eighth in 14 seconds last. Smokin granted the track was quicksand late in the race.
Seaside Retreat, almost didn't make the field. Entry was dependant upon last work. Well thats not the only reason this 30-1 wont be on my tickets. Maybe fourth.
Flashy Bull, another possibly 30-1. He already Electrolyted himself.
Sunriver - would be a very live 30-1 in my opinion.
Sacred Light, another in the 30-1 range with a late runners chance. Still, he ran poorly after "recovering" from his bad break last and injury issues loom with that kind of drop kick.
Dead Raymond- dont think so
Showing Up...hmmmm, why do i think this is MO's horse....lol
