Mike Welsch believes SoS galloped poorly again today:
Sweetnorthernsaint appeared to go a little better Thursday although was still not striding out with the same extension observed prior to Saturday's work. He and Point Determined both failed to switch leads through the stretch and around the clubhouse turn during their routine gallops.

Also, Eddie Sexton, (Kinsman Farm Manager), was quoted saying that he personally will take over the training of Bellamy Road. Nick Seconditis Zito has been relieved of Bellamy Road. Its a shame, because Nick was so proud of Bellamy after the Travers. The highlight of that race was the Nicky in defeat interview. He said more glowing things about that horse than I've ever heard. Nick deserved one more race just on cheerleading. Now, the interviewee role goes to Eddie Sexton. Eddie is about as gifted with the language as Seabisquits trainer, Silent Tom Smith. If hes half as gifted training as Silent Tom Bellamy may have another win in him somewhere.
Quoted from the 2005 Kentucky Derby paddock, then acting Kinsman Farm Manager:
Reporter: "Eddie, how do you think the race will unfold for your horse?"
Sexton: "Er, ummmm, er.........He's a champion...ummmm........ohhhhhhh....well.........I canna talk now, go way.......da horse..da horse."
You can't make this kind of stuff up.
