Since you mention, TVG impressions after 1 week:

1) Generally good coverage of tracks large and small.

2) Frank Lyons sounds a lot like Joe Cocker.

3) What does the sponsor list say about the future of racing? The sponsor list in terms of advertising: (1) Quick cash no collateral predatory lenders (one of these features permanent child actor Gary Coleman saying, in a line funnier than any line he delivered on "Different Strokes" "Then you can pay your bills and everyone will love you"; (2) Male sexual performance enhancement products; (3) Personal mobility products.

Is this the demographic of the racing fan? Old, broke, impotent, crippled?

Not complaining though. TVG is just an afterthought, part of the package which allows me to follow the exploits of the team which currently has baseball's best record.

Good US Open this weekend. The killer rough meets the game's best player, who is coming off a layoff and has recently had problems keeping his booming drives on the fairway.
