Miff-- the rules were you put up 6k, bet just like you would ordinarily, with a minimum of 300 per race, no multi-race bets, bet every race. That's it, and that's why I played this one and the other 2 in California this year-- they are the most like ordinary betting of horses, as opposed to the NTRA format, versions of which are used elsewhere, which has players betting different races, and is strictly about betting longshots that win (as opposed to run well). I tapped in both the other two contests, although I basically lost a photo for the whole shooting match at Santa Anita.

There were 50 players in this one, I think I and Frank from this board were probably the favorites at maybe 10-1 or so going in. At Vegas, I'll probably have a better chance than some, but I have to be at least 100-1, all things considered.
