Nice pick Dr. Dave, I had read your post yesterday morning but since I usually do not play Del Mar it slipped my mind to follow your advice.
I'm more of a lurker here than a poster, mainly because the DRF is my primary source for wagering information. Trying to incorporate the TGs more though as I see my colleagues at the simulcast outlet doing well with them.
One angle that I've picked up on from here, that seems to work especially well with young horses, is the "pairing up" after only two races. Octave had ran two mid 70 Beyers going into yesterday's Adirondack, I assumed the numbers would be similar on the TG sheets and a big move forward might be expected, so I keyed her with the logical contenders. My tickets went from winners to losers when the Kelly Breen (another name that's been mentioned here more than once) shipper came storming down the middle of the track to catch Magical Ride.
I continue to be a handicapper in progress!
