I have a friend who regularly hits big Pick 4s and he has pretty much detached himself from all other wagers except win bets and exactas.

I really think it helps his psychology of gambling to not be worrying about what he missed and just concentrate on the Pick 4.

And like you guys said, the big hits on the Pick 4 make up for the misses (hopefully!).
