This is in FLASH (aka Macromedia Flash) now owned by Adobe. A generated MPG file for these races came to a little over 1GB. To make that smaller, I'd have to use a compression CODEC - like XVID - that many people might not have installed on their computer. As I wrote in another post, it's difficult to please everybody.
One reason we went with this format is that it's compatible on all computer platforms. Previously, we had to make different packages for Windows and Mac.
