I think from this point on we should call NC Tony "Tony Bang
Bang", a much more appropriate name for this Tar Heeled Jesuit
who actually is an Eye- talian American from NYC. Good job
with the picks, and I know you are happy that Miesque's
Approval, one of your favorite gambling horses, scored in a big
spot.
I took Steve Crist's advice and eschewed Pick 4s for Pick 3s.
Unfortunately, I "kangarooed" through these P3s, as in keyed
Ouija, missed the Sprint (not even close),had Miesque, missed
the Distaff, had Red Rocks.
Bernardini-- look back to the slow works Bernie had after the
JCGC, add to the fact that he won his races easily, and my
conclusion is that this colt may have been a bit short for
this race. Trained with overconfidence up to this race?
And another note to Mr. Albertrani: Balletto still runs
like a green 2YO through the lane.
Too much to hope for that Sheiks would want to bring Bernardini
back to take care of unfinished business next year.
Sublime and Ridiculous: I was able to get 32/1 on Miesque's
Approval with Pinnacle, which compensated for kangarooing
through the Pick 3s. I also had a head to head wager Pine
Island over Fleet Indian. Pinnacle initially paid on this,
then realized their mistake and refunded the wager.
