By the way-- in response to a question Miff asked before I did the day, the track did get a little slower as the day went on. My corrections for the races were about plus 1 for the first 3 races (through the Juv fillies), gradually going to almost minus 2 for the last 2 dirt races-- a swing of 3 points over 6 hours, which is not a lot. I didn't have to split the one and two turn races this time.

There are interesting questions concerning the rails on both dirt and turf, but the answers are not clear. FYI, I ended up on the phone with Bridgemohan the day before discussing the ride for SF, and he said the same thing someone said here, in advance-- when the rail is down, the inside is worse on the grass course.
