i think most figure handicappers using pp's in conjunction w/ sheets look at pace as it relates to how a given race shapes up in terms of running styles of horses in an attempt to project at the very least , whether or not a number can win after adjusting for potential ground loss .

imo - the tgi offers food for thought - for example , thursday's 7th @ gp , tgi info ( along w/ others handicapping factors ) raise some interesting questions about mb sea on turf or dirt and how a horse like this might be used in various types of wagering strategies .
