Not sure why they took my last post down, thought it was complimentary to TG fiugres...oh, well. SC - you might find this interesting:
"The next day, it was learned that Flying First Class received a Beyer speed figure of 107, the best Beyer this year by a three-year-old nationally, and seven points better than Teuflesberg received in winning the Southwest later in the day.
“Anybody who saw my horse run,” Lukas was saying this morning at the barn, “has to know this is a real racehorse. He was running into 30-mile an hour head winds down the backstretch, and still got a half in :45. And the scary thing is that he’s going to be a much better two-turn horse.”
Flying First Class won’t have to wait long to try two-turns. Lukas said the California-bred is going to the Rebel, and, if all goes well, he’ll go on to the Arkansas Derby.
"I know,” Lukas said, “it’s a big step from a maiden race to a graded stake, but I believe this horse can do it. Sure, he’ll be stepping into the deep end of the pool, but I have confidence in his abilities.”
