Not sure I've seen this discussed here anywhere, but there is an interesting pattern to all of pletchers starters today, and Rag-to-Rich; they all started the year as short horses. It was clearly by design since its so consistent. It's relevent because from a pattern standpoint you like to see a horse begin the year getting back to his 2yo top, none of which they did except Rags/cowtown. then they all moved forward big time. Clearly intentional to have none of them cranked up first start out. helps looking at the pattern of Scat/AGS
