The Derby is a funny race. Just consider the debate over the figures, opinions vary drastically. I think Tgraph is pretty close to correct after some review. Some things don't really add up, knock a point off everyone and it seems pretty square.
Teuflesberg looked trememdous coming into the Derby. Many thought he was the best physical specimen. He'd proven he could beat or be right there with the best. he was worth a flyer in the money at 52-1. I had him in third and fourth and had him tri keyed on top for a total of 18 dollars just in case. I've seen much stranger things happen than a big dappled horse getting brave loose on the lead. The problem was the crowd got to him and it got to Cowtown too and made Cat crazy to run. Add to that Hard Spun decided to go and everyone knew if he did go the lead was his.
I have a two year old for Team Valor, but I'll insist upon selecting the trainer.
