if you stay through the weekend, you could get to one of the nicest tracks in the world. the York first July meeting runs on Fri and Sat (13,14). it's the European Saratoga. they describe it as "A two day meeting that features John Smiths Saturday : the informal party highlight of the year". excellent racing, though the best comes later in the summer.

about a two hour train ride from London. the town is beautiful.

if you can't get there this year, try and match up the tennis and racing next year.
