It's been interesting to watch this relationship between rider and father in law over the years. In general, it has looked professional. Never could see "Favors" one way or the other, as if they had an agreement to play it straight from the very beginning. I might have missed something but in general that's the way it has looked, so the horse is considered as any other imo.

I notice John rides a firster for Barbara in the finale - that's the kind of thing you wouldn't have seen much of in the last 5-6 years.
