OK so I also hit the PC even though I used the "other" product. This was one race where both TG and the Sheets said "Lava Man is an underlay as are the 2nd and 3rd ML choices. No standouts so use the odds and pattern to try to hit something."

I could not believe that SC was 33:1 with two minutes to post, but I was not complaining. I was also not complaining when he went off at a "measly" 23:1. But the exacta payoff was horrible (noted already on this board) and the Tri was similarly skimpy. At $2,513 for $1 you only got 10:1 for picking two other fairly longshots to be 2nd and 3rd behind SC. 12 horse field. 6:5 favorite out as well as the other top choices. Usually I would expect $4k to $5k for that. It can't be that the Sheets guys knocked those payoffs down b/c you would have seen some of that money in the Win odds as well.

Maybe Lava Man was overbet in the Win pool because of the "stupid" money that is out there on days like PC day but the exotic money better reflected the "true" odds of the horses that ran 1-3. I figured SC would be 10 or 12:1. Everyone uses Frankel, and AG was about right at 13:1. Or maybe there was just some giant conspiracy to screw me out of a bigger payoff.
